Why not combine a trip on one of Britain's most scenic and unusual branch lines with a walk along a spectacular section of the South West Coast Path and the chance to explore both Looe and Polperro, two gems of South East Cornwall? Download our leaflet here and take the train to Looe. Follow the directions and the map in the leaflet (but don't worry, it's all well signposted too) which will lead you through Looe and along the South West Coast Path to Polperro. In Polperro, take time to explore this pretty little village with its tales of smuggling and ship wrecks before catching the bus back to Looe. The walk is around 5 1/2 miles and there is a regular bus service between Looe and Polperro (route 573), so you can take the bus in one direction. Bus times can be found here Useful links: |
